Label Converting
Worldlabel's Infinity V1 Smart Label Converting
Worldlabel, an Internet marketing division of Innotech Resources PTE Ltd., specializing in RFID conversion technology and label manufacturing, has announced the premier of the Infinity V1 RFID Tag and inlay embedding system for smart label converting. This machine, which was jointly developed and built with TöV SöD PSB Group, offers low cost RFID embedding technology for paper or film labels.
Through the use of many different patent-pending processes, the Infinity V1 provides the highest read rates in the industry. It is capable of adapting to different types of RFID tags to provide optimum readability, and also comes equipped with a bad tag detection and removal system. The system boasts easy set-up and a user friendly touch pad for the operator. Turn around time is quick and efficient for different batches of labels. The Infinity will be produced in Singapore where Worldlabel is based. Approximate lead time is anticipated at 12 weeks.
Alex Choong, President of Worldlabel Asia, says: "We will still continue converting RFID labels but decided to introduce the Infinity because of market demand and factors. We are very excited, as this opens up the field and give the opportunity for label converters everywhere to quickly facilitate the special RFID label needs of each end user." Three Part inTag System By WS Packaging
WS Packaging has developed a three part system, the inTag system, for corrugators to improve RFID label productivity. Through this system, lead time is significantly reduced and label application is capable of 15,000 to 18,000 units per hour. Encoding accuracy is also ensured 100%.
The first component of the inTag system is the pre-encoding of their tags with Serial Global Trade Identifier Numbers (SGTIN). WS Packaging offers this for RFID self adhesive and inlay tags, RFID blank labels that discretely cover up inlays, RFID direct thermal and thermal transfer printable labels, and RFID preprinted prime labels.
The online service, WebFlex, then takes over to make sure labels get to the corrugators on time. Customers are able to place orders, proof, check status verification, confirm inventory, and track shipment through this system. Lead times average between three and four weeks.
Label applicators are the next components for the system. inTag applicators are designed for integration with existing converter equipment, including printing and paper form equipment, flexo-folder-gluers, paper-box folder-gluers, and offline stand alone feeder-gluers.
Two inTag applicator models are offered: a standard speed unit and a high speed unit. Both offer ease of operation and minimal downtime thanks to quick access to all maintenance parts on the machine. The standard model can be used for top or side application and can produce 7,200 labels per hour. Read verify and reject, and custom RFID tag projection and adaptable read zone options are available. The high speed applicator can produce 15,000-18,000 labels per hour and can be used as for a top or bottom application. It can be configured to verify EPC Gen 2 UHF and custom UHF and HF tag systems.
The third component to the inTag system is validation features that assure only good products are shipped. All tags are confirmed as readable before being shipped while bad tags are automatically bypassed. Visit www.wspackaging.com.
