AIM Global's RFID Video
AIM Global released a six-minute television video called "Spotlight on: RFID Technology." Beginning in April, the video airs on PBS affiliate stations in the U.S. to educate public television viewers about what RFID technology is and how it is being utilized in today's world. Trivue Entertainment started production a year ago, and it is sponsored by AIM Global members FEIG ELECTRONIC, Markem Corporation, Intermec Technologies, PSC Inc., and Symbol Technologies.
The video contains recordings from the member sponsors including the National Retail Federation, American Express, and the Boeing Company. Accompanying the footage are interviews with Dr. Bill Hardgrave, Director of the University of Arkansas RFID Research Center, and Ken Porad, Boeing's RFID Program Manager.
Dan Mullen, President of AIM Global says, "We see this video as another chance to educate the general public about a misunderstood and often maligned technology." The video is available for viewing at www.aimglobal.org and www.rfid.org.
