Avery Dennison Offers Wireless Ethernet Option
Avery Dennison now offers wireless Ethernet connectivity for all current printers and print/apply labeling systems. External components and power supply to equip the system for wireless operation can also be ordered.
Electromagnetic waves allow the wireless-enabled systems to communicate remotely with routers and other devices. The systems can be transported as needed to various locations throughout a facility and operated at a distance without wire connections.
According to Avery Dennison Printer Systems Marketing Manager Dan Williams, wireless operation offers valuable business benefits. "For example," he says," it can eliminate the need to install or upgrade wiring in older and multi-story facilities, reducing labeling costs."
In addition, Avery Dennison Printer Systems now offers a wireless flash card for Avery Dennison AP5.4 RFID Printers. Existing AP5.4 printer-to-wireless capabilities can be upgraded by inserting the flash card into a card slot on the printer. These upgraded printers have a wireless rang of up to 200 feet indoors.
