XML Data Management Server Platform

Raining Data's flagship product, TigerLogic, has been made available to power the new RFID XML Data Management Server (RFID XDMS) platform. The company maintains that the platform allows for the linking and aggregation of EPC/RFID, GTIN, and sensor data with inventory, logistics, and enterprise data from existing systems to provide real-time views and total inventory visibility of the supply chain, thereby transcending system- and application-level boundaries. The solution allows users to manage and share EPC/RFID data in real-time within the enterprise as well as externally with trading partners so as to optimize business processes and supply chain and operational efficiencies. According to the company, the platform also provides total visibility and control over the supply chain, and improves the velocity and flow of goods, funds, and information while reducing production, distribution, and inventory costs. In addition, RFID XDMS enables data capture, distributed query, aggregation, transformation, and Web services to handle the expected volume of EPC, sensor, and related business data, say Raining Data officials.
