Free Firmware Upgrade Offered
Printronix Inc. announces a free firmware upgrade for its SL5000e
and SLPA7000e RFID SmartLine products, which offer asset protection
through performance improvements, new antennae, and protocol support.
The firmware upgrade adds support for EPC Class 0 and 0+ standards,
and gives users the ability to encode 96-bit length data for Class 1
offerings. With the new release, Printronix also delivers speed enhancements
to its SLPA7000e. Says the company, customers who follow a simple download
process will enable a significant increase in productivity on earlier
installed units.
